The New Funky Vinyl is run by Jeroen van Genuchten. Jeroen started playing funk on his alto sax 40 years ago, inspired by Maceo Parker and Candy Dulfer. With The Jig he recorded in NYC and did five tours in Brazil. Nowadays he plays sax in T&A Connection and the Soul Survivors, bands that have their home base in the Rock Supplies Studios in Amsterdam. Next to that, he is co-writer of The New Funky, a platform founded by Mick Verweij. Always willing to help talented musicians that share his dedication to pure, uncut funk, soul, blues and jazz.
